Everyone has heard the saying before “the money is in the list”, but that isn’t strictly true; it’s the relationship that you build with your list that’s a lot more important. It’s no good having a huge list of people on your list if there not buying of you is it?

 

Here are my 6 tips for building a list that buyers will buy of you time after time, which is exactly want we all want.

 

1. Autoresponder –

 

The first tip I would give you is that to have a list you most definitely need an Autoresponder. With an auto responder you can automatically send out emails to promote products and services and gather names and email addresses from interested people.

The Two I would always recommend are Aweber and GetResponce

 

2. Website or Blog –

 

If you have a website or blog make sure that you have an opt in box on each page to encourage the potential customer to sign up for a free product or your weekly newsletter. The best place for building a list is to put the opt in box at the top right hand corner.

 

If you don’t have a free product to give away, a good idea is to buy some PLR (Private Label Rights). Just go to Google and type in PLR and look for products in your niche. You can purchase them for very little money, but check the license to ensure that you can give it away as a free product.

 

3. Blogs and Forums -

 

Another tip on building a list is to go to other peoples blogs and leave useful comments with your signature link at the bottom of the comment leading back to your website or blog.

 

Sign up to forums and ask questions and answer other people’s questions, again making sure you have your signature at the bottom.

 

4. Interaction -

 

Once you have started building a list you must Interact with that list by giving them regular informative content of value that will make your customer want to open your emails and not dump them in the trash bin without even opening it.

 

5. You Tube -

 

Make a video on your particular niche, it doesn’t have to be fancy, it could just be screenshots from something your promoting or just do a PowerPoint presentation and you could talk over it or just add some music.

 

Go to Animoto and upload some pictures and they will do a 30 sec Video for FREE.

 

Make sure that you add your link in the resource box, again linking back to your site or blog, once again building a list.

 

6. Social Network Sites – Facebook and Twitter -

 

If you haven’t already got involved with social network then you need to start right away.

Facebook and Twitter are probably the Two biggest at the moment and growing all the time. At the time of writing this article there are over 600 MiIllion users on Facebook, estimated to reach 1 Billion sometime in 2012.

 

Once again you up build your Friends on Facebook, you can have 5000, then start building up a relationship with those friends and encourage them to visit your website or blog in exchange for your free product that your giving away. Then you start Building your list.
